Burn Ordinance Information

The Village of Princeville has a burn ordinance in effect. It is a violation of this ordinance to burn on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday inside the village limits. Also, during the legal burn days of Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, all fires must be out by sunset. All outdoor fires must be attended to, and it is never legal to burn in the street. The only exception to burn after sunset is for a camp style fire, but it still remains illegal to burn in the street. The ordinance is being enacted by the Peoria County Sheriff's Department and violators could be fined up to $750.00.
